Yusheng lou hei haut ah re-union dinner

Hello,

I just upload a group of pictures on Yusheng and lou hei. This is something Singaporeans eat during . This is only popular during 10 year + and I remember we do not have such a practice when i was young.

Yusheng  is raw fish salad.

Yusheng is interpreted as a homophone for Yúsh?ng (??) meaning an increase in abundance.

Lou hei it consist of shredded mixed colorful vegetables and stir together with Yusheng . The idea is to scoop up (lou hei) symbolize luck and prosperity and the higher you scoop the more luck you have for the coming year. Every year we do this and you look at the table it so messy. If you visit during  probably you can try lou hei with your friends.

    Where can you find Hawker centres in Singapore?

    Food centres or Hawker centres can be find all over and are normally located near HDB estates or bus interchanges.For some of the Singaporean,it is more common to go to a food centre than to eat at a restaurant or even to cook at home.This is an open-air place which house many stalls. You can find at least 30 stalls onward selling array of variety of foods. Prices are reasonably cheap. Walk around before you order your food and if you notice a long queue at the stall normally the food must be good .
    Remember to inform the stall about where you sit. Food will be serve within 10 to 15 minutes. Some of the stalls don’t bring the foods up to your table so you have to self-service.
